A solar tracker is a Sun-following structure on which solar panels and thermal collectors may be built. A solar tracker rotates on one or two axes to periodically reorient the panel to face the Sun.

The following values indicate the existence and type of solar tracker:

• no for fixed panels and collectors, with no solar tracker
• yes for an unspecified solar tracker
  • single_axis for an unspecified single axis solar tracker
    • horizontal for a horizontal single axis tracker (HSAT)
    • horizontal_tilted for a horizontal single axis tracker with tilted modules (HTSAT)
    • tilted for a tilted single axis tracker (TSAT)
    • vertical for a vertical single axis tracker (VSAT)
  • dual_axis for an unspecified dual axis solar tracker
    • tip-tilt for a tip-tilt dual axis tracker (TTDAT)
    • alt-azimuth for azimuth-altitude (or alt-azimuth) dual axis tracker (AADAT)

Values for specific tracking technologies are preferable over yes, single_axis and dual_axis. Use these three values when the type of solar tracker is not known.
