Monitoring station for radiation

Gamma radiation dose rate

The device measures both natural and artificial gamma radiation. Measured values are usually send automatically to central station, where the values are evaluated and published.

Germany

German measurement network for gamma radiation(de) (ODL-Messnetz) is a measuring system operated by German Federal Office for Radiation Protection (Bundesamt für Strahlenschutz). They measure dose rate at given locations. These probes are tagged operator=Bundesamt für Strahlenschutz.

Czechia

The measurement of radiation in Czechia is operated by Státní ústav radiační ochrany, v. v. i. (National Radiation Protection Institute).

Cosmic radiation

Cosmic radiation is high-energy particle radiation from space, which comes from the Sun, Milky Way and remote galaxies. It is composed primarily of high-energy protons, atomic nuclei and solitary electrons.
