The removed:*=* lifecycle prefix for features of which no visible trace remains (i.e. they don't exist anymore).
See nonexistent features for more general discussion of mapping no longer existing features.
How to map
Add the namespace removed:*=* to all keys which are no longer relevant to the current state of an object without changing the geometry (let it a node if it was a node, a way if it was a way). You should treat all the tags on an object as a set of facts about the object, and prefix the keys of those facts which are no longer true as a result of being non existent.
Adding a note=* to explain why you just didn't delete the geometry (e.g. on a recently dismantled building where the last remains have been removed, which can still be seen in many editor background images and there is a high risk other would add it again based on the now outdated background image information) is highly recommended, else, someone might just delete everything again.

How to check map status
Shown on a use case for a building=* object example:
- Search for removed buildings in reality defined/tagged in the database as
removed:building=*: Overpass turbo query - Search for removed buildings in reality that have already been completely deleted in the database: : Overpass turbo query
