Use roundtrip=yes to indicate that start and end of a route are at the same location.
The tag is used in combination with other objects, most notably walking routes and cycle routes, but ferry route as well. It is also used on circular public transport routes to indicate that the first stop is the same as the last stop.

The travel pattern for roundtrip is from stop a → b → c → a (… and so on), while the common pattern is back and forth: a → b → c → b → a.

The information roundtrip=yes is important for the user to estimate what to see during the trip.
