surveillance:type=* specifies the type of surveillance being undertaken.

  • camera: A camera is surveying; what it feeds is unspecified. The most common.
  • guard: A (human) guard. Where the sensitivity of the location justifies the cost.
  • ALPR: Automatic licence-plate recognition: a system which automatically reads licence plates on vehicles. In parking entries, for example.
