The Rijksdienst voor het Cultureel Erfgoed (National cultural heritage agency) is a Dutch government agency which advises on matters concerning cultural heritage. As a part of their mission, they collect and share data on Dutch cultural heritage. Their geodata are made available trough the Nationaal Georegister (National Georegistry) as open data (with different licenses, but often PDM 1.0 or CC0 1.0). Some of those datasets are good fits with OHM and could be imported. While the data quality is generally good, detailed tags are often lacking and there are occasional mistakes (in tracing or tagging). The imported data thus should generally be seen as a basis for other mappers to build upon.

Description
This dataset describes The Netherlands in the last half of the 16th century, mainly based on 168 city maps by Jacob van Deventer like this one. It includes the following layers:

- NL1575_objecten: This contains point elements for 2892 houses/farms, 497 churches, 473 windmills, 188 monasteries, 177 chapels, 148 city gates and many other features like city halls, castles and gallows. However, this only attests that the feature was present in the late 16th century and the name tag is inconsistently used (e.g. for a monastery this is often the order rather than a specific name). I don't see much value to (partially) importing this dataset.
- NL1575_paleogeografie: Based on the Atlas van Nederland in het Holoceen for 1500 but with corrections based on maps by Jacob van Deventer. Residential areas and city moats, channels and harbors based on Jacob van Deventer maps are part of this layer and should be imported together with other features. Other parts of this layer are less relevant to OHM and should not be imported due to the Atlas itself having a CC-BY 4.0 license.
- NL1575_routenetwerk: A very extensive set of local roads (based on Jacob van Deventer maps) as well as regional routes (based on F.H. Horsten (2004); Doorgaande wegen in Nederland). The import of this whole dataset could be very valuable, but tagging
highwayvalues (through time) would be time intensive. For now, residential roads should be imported along with the rest of the city they belong to. - NL1575_stadsplattegronden: city maps including buildings, gardens, city walls and other features that can be easily imported to OHM. See below for tagging scheme.
- NL1575_waterlopen: Waterways as line elements, again based on the Atlas van Nederland in het Holoceen and thus not fit for import.
- NL_1575_bladwijzer_kaarten: Outlines of the Jacob van Deventer city maps with links to images of the maps.
The stadsplattegronden dataset includes 17 types of elements. Most are easily mapped to the OSM tagging scheme, with two exceptions:
- Ommuring/muur of wal (city walls).
barrier=city_wallrenders for lines, not areas. I've seen other mappers adding abuilding=yestag to city wall areas, but is this the preferred method? - Ramen (tenters). For now I've mapped this to
landuse=industrialwithindustry=cloth, but this could be more specific.
