Project Goal
Map administrative boundaries in the county of Stockholm since 1850.
Overview
The intention is to map administrative boundaries in Stockholm in 1850 and how they have changed over time up until today.
Data Sources
- Valmyndighetens valdistrikt. Shapefiles made by the Swedish election authority. The boundaries of the districts still follow old bounadries in many cases.
- Ekonomiska kartan.
- Häradsekonomiska kartan.
- Statistics Sweden's census reports. Since the 1850s Statistics Sweden has been tasked with keeping track of administrative areas and their changes. This source is almost only text.
