OpenHistoricalMap's default interface displays its own version of Carto.

Appearance

For the most part, boundaries appear the same as in OpenStreetMap's Carto. Sometimes, higher-level subdivision labels are in all caps.

The most notable difference is the way it displays streets.

At zoom level 7, motorways, trunk (colored red), and primary roads and links appear. At zoom level 12, secondary and tertiary roads appear, and motorways' and trunk roads' names appear. At zoom level 14, unclassified/minor and residential roads appear. Primary roads are colored orange, while all other roads are colored white. Finally, at zoom level 15, all other roads' names are visible. Also, anything in ref=* is not displayed at all, meaning users might have to add road numbers to the name=* tag.
