T-bar lift. An overhead tow-line for skiers and riders, known as a T-bar lift. They are named for the shape of the carrier which is T-shaped. It carries two passengers.

This is just one classification among several cable/wire based lifts/transportation types listed under Key:aerialway. See also WikiProject Piste Maps.

How to map

Draw a way way along the route of the cable, and set this aerialway=t-bar tag on this way. The direction of the way should indicate the ascending direction. E.g., the way should point from the valley station to the mountain station.

Additional features

Position nodes node at either end of the cable. These nodes might be tagged with aerialway=station.

If you know the position you can also map support pylons by positioning nodes node in the middle of the way, with the tag aerialway=pylon.

Similar tags

aerialway=drag_lift - More generic tag for this type of lift.

aerialway=j-bar, aerialway=platter, aerialway=rope_tow - other similar types of drag lifts.
