A battery storage power plant is a form of energy storage power plant that uses a group of batteries to store electrical energy.

Battery storage plants have both a peak power output, usually in megawatts (MW), and an energy storage capacity, usually in megawatt-hours (MWh). The peak power output should be recorded in the plant:output:electricity=* tag, and the storage capacity in the plant:storage=* tag.

How to map

For a complete power plant, draw the outline area and add:

It is common to also use landuse=industrial with the power=plant.
