A landing threshold is the point on a runway where the distance available for a landing begins. The landing threshold is normally located at the beginning of the runway. Its position may be separately marked with white paint as a continuous crossbar on the runway. The point is only drawn in OSM if it has been marked as such. In the photo, you can see the dark-coloured touchdown point that lies behind the threshold.

There can also be a stopway before the landing threshold.
