A landing threshold is the point on a runway where the distance available for a landing begins. The landing threshold is normally located at the beginning of the runway. Its position may be separately marked with white paint as a continuous crossbar on the runway. The point is only drawn in OSM if it has been marked as such.

In cases where the landing threshold has been moved further back from the beginning of the runway (displaced_threshold), such marking is mandatory.
