The aeroway key is used to tag physical infrastructure used to support aircraft, air travel, spacecraft and space flight, in particular the elements associated with airports, spaceports and heliports etc. For further details on how to create aeroway features and how they are presented, see Aeroways.
|aeroway||aerodrome||Aerodrome in the United Kingdom or Airport in North America is used to map the main area details (other than helicopters only).|
|aeroway||airstrip||A field or area where light aircraft can land and take off from.|
|aeroway||apron||Airport apron is an area where planes are parked, unloaded or loaded, refuelled, or boarded.|
|aeroway||control_center||Control center (in the US referred to as air route traffic control center (ARTCC)) is a facility responsible for controlling aircraft en route in a particular volume of airspace (a Flight Information Region) at high altitudes between airport approaches and departures.|
