A taxi rank (or taxi stand, taxicab stand, etc.) is a place where taxis wait for passengers. Often found at airports, hotels, railway/bus/subway stations, large shopping centers or other places people congregate.
How to map
This tag locates the point where taxis wait, not the point where passengers wait.
|capacity=*||Maximum number of taxis that can wait here (rough estimation).|
|contact:phone=*||Phone number to contact the taxi rank.|
|name=*||Name of taxi rank.|
|opening_hours=*||Hours and/or weekdays where the taxi rank is legally in operation|
|operator=*||Operator of taxi stand.|
|Some mappers have used this access control tag to identify taxi stands that provide motorcycle taxis. This is confusingly inconsistent with its use for access control, and as such is disliked by other mappers.|
|Some mappers have used this access control tag to identify taxi stands that do not provide car taxis. This is confusingly inconsistent with its use for access control, and as such is disliked by other mappers.|
- taxi=* - Access permission for taxi vehicles
