The tag crop=fast_growing_wood is used to specify that the "crop" which is grown at a feature is fast-growing trees or shrubs with short rotation periods, see  Short_rotation_coppice(SRC). The woody organic material ("biomass") is primarily used as an energy "crop" for heating or use in power stations.

crop=fast_growing_wood is an associated tag for landuse=farmland or landuse=forest.

Also see the somewhat more common but less SRC-specific tag produce=wood, usually added to landuse=forest, natural=wood or natural=scrub
