This tag is used on waterways, especially natural ones, which, for any reason, can have its flow reversed. It can be, for instance, because the waterway is linked to an estavelle, or because it is in a tidal zone. First approved on Proposal:PipelineExtension for man_made=pipeline, this tag was already in use before having been approved (again) by Proposal:Sinkholes refinement, and can be used for unrelated waterways.

Example

For the waterway connecting the Chahalot to the Trou des Glanes, the tagging would be this one:
