A dangerous junction is an intersection that has a high rate of traffic collisions.

How to map

Tagging can be applied to the intersection node or the location of the signage:

  • Place a node node at the location of the dangerous junction traffic sign, tagged traffic_sign=hazard (or code) + hazard=dangerous_junction.
  • Tag a node node along a highway=* way way at the location of the sign
  • Tag the node at the intersection of the two or more highway=* ways that make up the dangerous intersection.

This sign simply means we have priority at the next junction. It does not mean the junction is dangerous. Use highway=priority instead.
