A ground clearance hazard is a section of road that presents a hazard to vehicles with long wheelbases. Vehicles that may be affected by this hazard risk being grounded between their axles on a steep hill or incline on a road. Vehicles that may be affected by this hazard include, but are not limited to: semi trucks, flatbed trailers, buses, and recreational vehicles. This hazard is usually, but not always, located around railroad crossings.
