This tag is for indicating that a map feature such as a cafe, shop, hotel, library, etc. offers public access to the Internet via a wired connection, for example Ethernet.

As an example, a library offering internet access via public ethernet wires should be tagged primarily as amenity=library and additionally internet_access=wired.

How to map

  • Add the tag internet_access=wired to a feature such as an internet cafe, shop, library, campsite, hotel or other location that offers paid or free access to the Internet via a wired connection.

Additional tags:

  • Add the tag internet_access:fee=yes/no/customers if it is know whether payment or purchase is required.
