Tag:landcover=sand

This proposed tag is very rarely used for areas covered by sand.

Consider one of these much more common and specific tags:

• natural=sand - for areas of sand, other than beaches
• natural=beach + surface=sand - for sand beaches
• natural=shoal + surface=sand - for shoals, areas of sand in a sea or lake which are covered at high tide.
• surface=sand + another feature tag, to describe a road, parking lot, sporting pitch, etc
• golf=bunker - sand traps on golf courses
