A  compass rose or wind rose. Typically this element appears in the coast: ports, footways across the coast line, etc. It may also appear in a playground or at an airfield.

The compass rose is a rose indicating the cardinal points (north, south, ...) and wind rose indicates the name of the winds and optionally its direction.

How to map

Set a node node or draw an area area and tag it as man_made=compass_rose.

For indicate whether it's a compass_rose or a wind_rose or both, you could use compass_rose:type=compass_rose, compass_rose:type=wind_rose or compass_rose:type=both, respectively.

Tags to use in combination

Useful combination of this tag is with name=* and tourism=attraction if it's applicable.
