An  observatory is a location used for observing terrestrial or celestial events. Astronomy, meteorology, geophysical, oceanography and volcanology are examples of disciplines for which observatories have been constructed.

To tag the instrument to watch use man_made=telescope or man_made=monitoring_station.

How to map

Add a node node or draw an area area of the building or the terrain.

Add the tags man_made=observatory and name=*.
