A gorge, also known as ravine or canyon, is a narrow valley with steep, rocky walls.

Gorges often have their own names, and many gorges are tourist attractions.

How to Map

Draw a line along the bottom of the gorge and tag with natural= gorge plus the name=* if relevant. If the gorge is part of a valley with another name, you can map both separately. A multilinestring is a handy but not yet approved (and not yet supported by most applications) method to do this.

Also consider mapping any cliffs along the sides of the gorge with separate ways tagged natural=cliff
