The tag power=terminal is used for a power terminal, a point of connection where an overhead power line terminates on a building, wall or any other node than power=tower, power=pole or power=portal; for example, when connecting to an indoor substation.
In most cases, it is equivalent to power=insulator + line_management=termination as terminating a power line on a building often requires to anchor it with insulator's help.
A power terminal covers line terminations in substations or other public service buildings and service drops as well.
It should not be confused with transition or supports with location:transition=yes since a termination is not a transition.
How to map
You can map a terminal with a node where the connecting line terminates to the building outline, and tag as follow :
| Key | Value | Description | Recommendation |
|---|---|---|---|
power |
terminal |
It's a power terminal linking an overhead line to another infrastructure. | Mandatory |
line_attachment |
anchor |
A terminal always involve anchor set on which the line terminates. | Recommended |
line_management |
termination |
A power terminal is always a line termination | Recommended |
line_arrangement |
Geometry | Geometry of line bundles at the terminal | Optional |
operatoroperator:wikidata |
operator | The power terminal operator's name. | Recommended |
ref |
Terminal reference | Power terminal reference as seen in situation. | Optional |
height |
height | The height of the terminal from the ground. | Optional |
