A hospice is a facility providing both, permanent palliative and nursing care, 24 hours a day, to dying or terminally or chronically ill people as well as support to their relatives. Thus it has a different focus in comparison with a nursing home.

Currently more hospices are tagged healthcare=hospice, driven by an iD preset. The suitability of the healthcare key for an hospice is disputed.

How to map

Set a node node at the center of the feature or draw an area area along its outline.

Add amenity=social_facility + social_facility=hospice and specify the target group with social_facility:for=*, in general terminally_ill, but also child for a children's hospice.
