pump-out facilities

@Rasmusjaa: Hi, I saw your mention of pump_out=*. This tag isn't used (only 1 time) but there is seamark:small_craft_facility:category=pump-out instead. I would like to ask you whether you have considered that. --Chris2map (talk) 08:52, 4 October 2026 (UTC)

Thanks, you are right on both counts. Fontavio already reads seamark:small_craft_facility:category, and uses it for more than pump-outs too: water_tap, toilets, showers and laundrette/launderette all become places, and combined values like fuel_station;pump-out are split.

pump_out=* was a fallback from before that. I checked it after your message: the one object using it worldwide has access=private and so was excluded from Fontavio anyway, meaning it never matched what Fontavio uses. I am taking pump_out out of the code, out of the taginfo project file and off this page. I added that seamark:small_craft_facility:category to page too, it was already in taginfo which has complete data, but is still waiting for Github PR to go through.
