This page contradicts itself several times. Does "abandoned" in the context of rails now mean "abandoned/unused" or "demolished"? E.g. the first 2 sentences: Sentence 1: "former features" Sentence 2: "It can refer either to an abandoned railway track or to another railway feature, e.g. a station. "
But "former" is not the same as "abandoned"?!?!? Hiausirg (talk) 15:12, 26 May 2021 (UTC)

As i can see that, most people use it for demolished features, "abandoned" things get the disused: prefix. Hiausirg (talk) 15:17, 26 May 2021 (UTC)
I agree, the short sentences are not clear in detail. At "See also - Railway#Life-cycle" there is a detailed description. According to my understanding circa: former = abandoned = removed, but identifiable that there was. --Chris2map (talk) 19:36, 26 May 2021 (UTC)
