Status of the key

The status of this key needs to be clarified. It was in use but an automatically edit did remove most. The introduction of it into the data base on the other hand shows also a steep slope, see taghistory. See JOSM #19589. --Skyper 15:56, 28 July 2020 (UTC)

Deprecation

I propose that this tag should be deprecated as it's never been used much in comparison to addr:unit=* which is used and intended to be used and accepted instead. --TuukkaH (talk) 15:45, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
