- Please add definitions which explain what it means for a church to be a "cmentarny" (Cemetery) for example - in English a "cemetery" is a large area filled with graves where dead human bodies are buried. Is this a chapel which is used for funeral, or an actual place of worship which has mass / worship services? What is a church:type=hospital (szpitalny)? In English a Hospital is a large medical center which provides inpatient care to serious ill people or people who just had surgery and need to stay overnight under nurse supervision. How does this related to a Christian place of worship? Is this like a chapel in a hospital which is operated by the Roman Catholic church of Poland? What does filial (filialny) mean? The wikipedia article says "A filial church, in the Roman Catholic Church, is a church to which is annexed the cure of souls, but which remains dependent on another church. The term comes from the Latin filialis, from filia, “daughter” - this does not make much sense to me as a protestant. So please provide some more detailed explanations, so mappers in other countries and other cultures will know when to use these tags in their own context. --Jeisenbe (talk) 06:48, 6 February 2021 (UTC)

church:type=auxiliary
I would like to suggest documenting the use of church:type=auxiliary, as this value already appears to be in use.
I propose using it for a church that is the parish church of a canonically established parish, but whose pastoral care is entrusted to the parish priest of another parish. Such a parish is fully constituted (with its own parish registers, administration, finances, etc.), but it does not have a resident parish priest. This situation is explicitly foreseen by the Code of Canon Law (CIC, can. 526 §1), which allows one pastor to be entrusted with the care of several parishes.
This distinguishes auxiliary from filial, where there is no separate parish office or parish administration, and the church is simply part of another parish.
Documenting this value would make it possible to distinguish:
parish– a parish church whose parish is served by its own parish priest.auxiliary– a parish church whose parish is entrusted to the parish priest of another parish.filial– a subsidiary church that is not itself a parish.
