BBQ without grill ?!

Is it really amenity=bbq if it lacks grill/grate?! If It would seem to me that if it only have boundaries to prevent spreading of fire, than it is fire ring / fire pit, i.e. to be tagged as leisure=firepit instead. It makes no sense that you have to own/carry bbq grill with yourself in order to use amenity=bbq for food. Otherwise any pair of bricks could be called amenity=bbq.
