It is disputed that grate=no is still amenity=bbq; if there is no grill/grate it should be marked as leisure=firepit instead. |
To indicate if the fireplace or BBQ has a grate (also known as a cooking grate or cooking grid) or not.
How to map
Use grate=yes if a feature has a grate, or grate=no if not.
Since grate=* is a non-physical tag, it should be combined with top-level tags:
leisure=firepit- A fire ring or fire pit, often at a campsite or picnic site.amenity=bbq- A permanently built place for having a BBQ. It is unclear whether a bbq without a grate is still anamenity=bbq.
