So what is the difference here to a Tag:amenity=community_centre? Aceman444 (talk) 19:17, 1 January 2018 (UTC)

I think a community_centre is a community/public venue whereas an events venue is more the type of space you find in a hotel. Normally you pay for its use and it's not geared towards the public or local community necessarily. I can think of several places in my town that sell space for weddings or business meetings that would better fit an events venue than community centre. shuui (talk) 21:52, 3 March 2018 (UTC)

event - events

Wouldn't a more correct name be "event_venue"? Singular vs plural. --user:Richlv

Peculiarity of English - https://www.englishclub.com/grammar/nouns-adjective.php --Richlv (talk) 06:31, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
Were you asking if it was correct in English language or is it correct as a tag? In English maybe it's more correct to say "event venue". The tag amenity=events_venue is used 21,373 times and amenity=event_venue is used 28 times. So more the correct tag is amenity=events_venue. maro21 20:10, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
