Pastries?

Removed pastry after finding many English speaking nations (maybe all) consider pastry a bakery good and not a confection. --CS Mur (talk) 22:15, 6 June 2013 (UTC)

Well I think that requires more discussion. In fact on the bakery page I've explained that this confectionery tag "may cover certain types of shops selling pastries and cakes, where the shop wouldn't fit the description as a bakery (e.g. if there's no baking happening on the premises). shop=confectionery is mainly for shops selling sweets, chocolates etc.". We do need to spell out the distinction on this page too. -- Harry Wood (talk) 11:42, 4 July 2013 (UTC)
I agree with Harry Wood, this needs more discussion. When I think of a confectionery, I don't think of simply a sweets shop, but some kind of bakery focused on sweets (pastries included). --Jgpacker (talk) 13:06, 10 April 2014 (UTC)

sub tag informations?

maybe we can add a sub tag to indicate more informations like confectionery=Chocolat for shop specialised on chocolate selling. -Yod4z 12:02, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
