shoes distinction like clothes?

may be we can add a tag like shoes=* like clothes to set if it sell only for children, men, women ... -Yod4z 14:23, 24 December 2012 (UTC)

could we add shoes=barefoot option too? I think that is a very distinct feature that people might be looking for. -jluttine 07:38, 31 January 2020 (UTC)

I don't think so. OSM is not a business directory, and cannot list every sub-sub-category of items being sold. Selling such things might change frequently and according to seasons. The shop=* key is rarely used in comparison to shoe shops, and mainly for the presence of departments such as women or children, which is more clearly ground-verifiable. Finally the value is ambiguous, while I assume you mean these shoes where each toe has its own compartment, 'barefoot' literally means no shoe at all. --Polarbear w (talk) 19:04, 31 January 2020 (UTC)

Namespaces

How about creating a namespace like
shoes:sales=yes;used
shoes:repair=yes
shoes:rental=no
shoes:type=vintage;fashion;work;sports;mens;womens;childrens
(the same for clothes:* / furniture:* and others)
?
