water mains sounds to be the plural form of water main. An hydrant is often connected to a single pipe. See : Fanfouer (talk) 17:09, 28 December 2018 (UTC)
it is the plural of main (as in pipe) but is used as the name of the normal water supply network see and lots more. SimonPoole (talk) 17:24, 28 December 2018 (UTC)
It's ok that both exists. Nevertheless, this value says that the hydrant is connected to a pipe called water main. Should we have used main_pipe instead? Fanfouer (talk) 17:28, 28 December 2018 (UTC)
