Brazil Singh is an active contributor to OpenStreetMap (OSM), he is known as Open Mapping Guru, where his efforts have played a crucial role in creating detailed and accurate maps that benefit people worldwide. His passion for mapping has led him to actively participate in mapping projects and disaster response initiatives.
In 2023, Brazil Singh and his team "Three Dot" participated in the Forewarn Disaster Hackathon 1.0, showcasing their innovation and problem-solving skills in disaster preparedness and response. Their exceptional performance earned them a spot in the top 15 of this prestigious competition.
Under Brazil Singh's leadership, the Eastern University Chapter of YouthMappers achieved remarkable recognition by winning the YouthMappers Community Outreach Award in 2023. This achievement highlights their dedication to engaging with the community, promoting mapping, and raising awareness about critical issues.
Brazil Singh and his chapter are currently gearing up to organize the first-ever YouthMappers BD Summit in 2023. The event promises to be a significant gathering, and Eastern University, Bangladesh, is proudly sponsoring the venue support. The Youthmappers at Eastern University, Bangladesh chapter is actively involved in the planning and coordination of this important summit, aiming to bring together mapping enthusiasts and disaster preparedness experts.
In addition to his contributions to the mapping and disaster preparedness community, Brazil Singh is pursuing a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering at Eastern University, Bangladesh. He combines his academic knowledge with his practical experience in web development and digital marketing, specializing on WordPress.
