Email from Gregrs to OS (17/8/16)

I was wondering under what licence your archive of triangulation station data is released? Specifically the zipped CSV file attached to this FOI request https://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/about/governance/foi/questions/2015/0056.html. (The data is also available on your website at https://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/gps/legacy-control-information/triangulation-stations.)

I would like to use this data to determine the offset of aerial imagery used in tracing features for OpenStreetMap. If it could be released under the Open Government Licence v3 that would be ideal.

Dear Greg,

I am writing to inform you of the outcome of the investigation into the licensing status of the data sources which you mentioned in your recent email.

Our licensing team have checked this for us, and report that although we don’t specifically say so on our website, this dataset can be licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.

I trust that this information is helpful, and thank you for your interest in Ordnance Survey.

Kind regards,

Ben Humphries
