I started mapping on a larger scale when I lived in South Sudan and Uganda, two countries which are heavily underdeveloped on OSM. Over time, I also started to contribute to the Wiki to enhance the documentation on East Africa. My special interest is in all types of POIs as I believe this will significantly enhance usability of OSM for the average user.
