This list highlights important changes in the world, as well as more mundane events that demonstrate the project's ambitious tendency toward micromapping history.

In the Connecticut Colony, Litchfield County is created from parts of Fairfield, Hartford, and New Haven counties.
1837
State-owned mining begins in Hohenpeißenberg, Bavaria, with the opening of the Hauptstollen (main adit).
1895
Under the Treaty of Shimonoseki, China cedes Formosa (Taiwan) and the Pescadores (Penghu) Islands to Japan.
1917
In Utah, Rich County gains territory from Summit County in an act that would be overturned by the Utah Supreme Court in 1921.
1978
The Marikina School of Arts and Trades becomes the Marikina Institute of Science and Technology in Marikina, Metro Manila.
2015
In Cincinnati, the Dunnhumby Centre is renamed to the 84.51° Centre as its namesake tenant renames to 84.51°.
