> BUT I HAVE TO PLACE MARKERS IN THE ENGLISH TEXT!!!
> K, let's stick with weird namespaces, title prefixes and whatsoever requiring to manually check the original article for changes to make sure that there are no discrepancies, effectively leading to abandoned translations even for languages with big communities in OSM like German.
I mean, sure, I'm exaggerating (a little) but that discussion which reverted the decission to install the extension felt really onesided and made no attempt to ask people outside from those watching Talk:Wiki and Wiki Translation. And it's quite funny to see something that has been postponed for 7 years to be shot down in about a month. IMO translating in OSM simply sparks no joy since one will always have to keep in mind that with the next change made to the original article yours will be outdated and most certainly nobody will be able to easily notice.

Hello!
My username is - as you've probably already seen above - Nw520.

I'm a mostly regional contributor to OSM and can be also found on Wikidata Favicon color.svg Wikidata, and from time to time on Wikivoyage favicon.svg Wikivoyage DE, Wikimedia Commons favicon.png Commons and Wikipedia-logo-v2-no-text.svg Wikipedia DE.
A special concern of my participation in the projects of the Wikimedia Foundation and the OpenStreetMap is to link data between each project in the best possible way meaning that I especially like to add wikidata=*-tags.
