Hello, I question your edit on the piste:grooming page (https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Special:MobileDiff/2121464). Piste:type=ski tour is dedicated to skitouring, alpine-style. Having a ratrack involved rather kill the spirit, isn't it? What do you mean by piste:grooming = classic here?
- Hello Yves, You created a new Wiki page :) Please sign your posts. For my Wiki edit, I oriented myself more on the hiking pistes than on the alpine ones. That is how I see it, the spirit so to say: ski-touring is about hiking just the same as it is about skiing. In recent years (ten or fifteen perhaps), so called "Pistentouren" became quite popuplar. People go to the resort, put on the touring skins and hike up alongside the piste. No risk of avalanches, no bother finding the way, always on the safe side. The operators of the resorts tried to ban that, but to no avail. Meanwhile, many resorts have signposted tracks for uphill-tours, which are indeed prepared by ratrak if "inline" or snow-mobile, where apart from the downhill. They get advertised on the piste-plans, and they are called skitour, of course. I searched for a means to differentiate, and I found grooming to be the perfect fit.--Hungerburg (talk) 23:32, 18 March 2021 (UTC)
I didn't know this practice, so yes, 'classic' make sense. Sorry for the signature, not easy on the mobile interface. Normally it should sign automatically when I press 'save'. Let see... Yvecai (talk) 05:03, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
Hi Hungerburg, thanks a lot for your reply about the Gazex tagging. I made a more structured proposal on this page and I moved our discussion to the talk page. I hope we could solve together the details to make a formal proposal soon. Regards
