Special tags not needed

All the listed categories may be represented by standard OSM tags. I believe we should avoid introducing special tags for Oslo. These tags will likely not be used by other users, thus it will be very difficult to maintain them. Standard tagging for cycleways in Norway is listed at https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/No:Map_Features#Sykkel --NKA (talk) 06:44, 24 June 2022 (UTC)

I would have thought there is an Oslo Standard for Norway, Europe, or the world. If anything, you should use cycleway:NO-03=* following ISO 3166-2 subdivision codes. designation=* is currently defined as legal status for access restriction, aside from protection_title=* or HFCS=*. As said, They are not useful as layout, when they can be represented by other tags. Except perhaps *=cycle_expressway status for function in the network and additional physical quality (however without signs it's not very verifiable), and *=C* official classification; or this is an import. The appropriateness of tagging whether they are built to a certain cross-section design standard is a grey zone. --- Kovposch (talk) 07:01, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
What is the status for the special tag today? They are not even described in the wiki page, but are present on various ways in the database. --Olejorgenb (talk) 22:35, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
I believe this key is not being used. It could be removed from OSM.--NKA (talk) 05:00, 10 August 2023 (UTC)
