A stop position is the place where public transport vehicle stop.

The public_transport=stop_position tag is used to identify where a vehicle stops along a public transport route to pick up or drop-off passengers. The tag should be used to tag a node within the relevant way along which the vehicle operates and can be used for any transport mode (including rail, bus, tram, flight, taxi or ship). A stop_position will normally be associated with one or more 'platforms' (tagged public_transport=platform) where passengers wait for transport or alight from transport. The stop_position and other associated elements including platforms, benches and buildings should be included within an appropriate public_transport=stop_area.

The stop position is tagged as a 
on the way, even when a bus stops in a bus bay. The stop position is tagged with the following attributes:
