Usage
Use this tag on a node 
. The node should be the one common to both the highway and the railway.
Note : Osmarender does render the level_crossing automatically (even if it is not specifically tagged) when a highway and a railway intersect. Mapnik does need the tag.(2008-07-01)
Use supervised=yes when the gate is manually operated by a gatekeeper/signalman (de: Bahnwärter). Such old-fashioned level crossings still exist in many countries.
