Specifies the architectural type of a bell tower.

Note: For a very small structure with a bell that is not a tower, such as a bell on a pole or a bell-cot, use man_made=bell or amenity=bell.

How to map

Place a node or draw an area along the bell tower outline, tag it with man_made=tower + tower:type=bell_tower and add bell_tower=*.

If a tower is part of a building, draw a tower as a standalone feature and use building:part=bell_tower without man_made=tower.
