A hack weekend in February 2018

In October 2018 the hack weekend had too many attendees to be held in the Geofabrik office, and we used a room at the nearby university

The social event in the pub is an important part (Feb 2023)

What's the plan? / Was ist geplant?

We're having an OSM hack weekend in Karlsruhe, Germany, on 13/14 February 2027.

Surely you have some unfinished OSM projects or some good ideas for new ones. Bring them with you to Karlsruhe. You will find people to discuss the details with you, or build something.

Location / Der Ort

We meet at the Geofabrik office in Karlsruhe.
The tram station Europaplatz is the closest to the office. Due to construction works, the tram network will be changed. Use tram line 3 between Europaplatz (tram stop) and Central Station or light rail lines S1 or S11 between Europaplatz (underground station) and Main Station. Tram line 2 does neither serve Main Station or any other stop in the city centre any more; the route via ZKM will be a dead end until mid 2027. An updated network map has not been published yet.

Please note that a city ordinance puts restrictions on carrying knives – even pocket knives – in public. So if you have one, best leave it at home.

Food and drink / Essen und Trinken

Geofabrik provides snacks and beverages and also the pizza we'll likely have for lunch as usual. Dinner will likely be in a nearby restaurant where everybody pays for themselves.
