The circumference key is used to describe the circumference of a tree's trunk at the height of 1.3 metre above ground. Used together with natural=tree.

Example

Average human compared to trunks of various circumferences. Ordered from the smallest to the biggest, the values (in metres) are: 0.1, 0.5, 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40 and 50.
  • circumference=2.3 to describe a trunk with a circumference of 2.3 metres
  • If your DBH is 95 (by default cm) they you will need to divide by 100 and multiply by 3.14159 and choose the first two significant figures and round the 3rd. This results in 2.98 metres.
