This tag is used to map the colour of bike lanes and cycleways tagged on a highway object. That is, when the cycleway is tagged on a highway using cycleway=* (such as an on road bike lane cycleway:left=lane)
Values come from the colour=* tag.
It may be beneficial to add information about which side of the way the colour exists. In this case, the tag cycleway:side:surface:colour=* is used, with side being left, right, or both.
