A two-wheeled vehicle similar to a mofa=*, but with an electric motor. Compared to electric_bicycle=* these bikes are equipped with a throttle to run also without active pedaling by the rider.
Both Dutch and German law define this type of vehicle and give them rights similar but not equal to bicycles. For example, they are allowed to use some bicycle paths ("fietspad" and "Radwege außerorts", respectively).
