ifr=yes is placed on aeroway=aerodrome or aeroway=heliport to indicate that IFR (Instrument Flight Rules) facilities and procedures are available. Usually supported by the availability of an IFR approach procedure (e.g. ILS-01 approach chart for Cape Town International Airport).

ifr=no would indicates that there are definitely no IFR facilities or procedures available for the selected aerodrome.
