Key:pole:maxload

The tag pole:maxload=* is used to describe the maximum structural design load of a pole as specified by the manufacturer or operator. It represents a characteristic load value defined in technical documentation or on a type plate.

The load may act in any direction (horizontal, vertical, or resultant), depending on the pole type and application. No assumption about load direction should be made unless additional tags are present.

This tag is primarily intended for utility poles, such as power line poles or similar supporting structures, where load classes are explicitly stated.

How to map

Add pole:maxload=* to a node representing the pole.

The value should be given as a numeric value with unit, e.g.:

• pole:maxload=25 kN
• pole:maxload=1200 N
• pole:maxload=6000 N
